Life Through Love

30 Sep

For 3 Saturday nights after service, we have had over 100 of our youth flood our community with prayer.  It has been amazing as God has been tearing down spiritual strongholds.  We have prayed at porn shops, prayed over a school, prayed over streets, and much more.

Last night, we started a new stage in our Saturday night community events.  After service last night, we sent out multitudes of teams to different gas stations to pump people’s gas and to clean their windows…completely free of charge!

A story that I heard from one gas station was that as our youth had pumped gas, the lady in the car pulled away, without letting our youth take the pump out of the gas tank!  As she pulled away, she pulled the pump off of the gas station’s pumping station.  Our youth, in a supreme act of love, prayed for her, then pulled together money to pay for the broken pump, then led this lady to the Lord!

If this doesn’t convince you, I don’t know what will!  Through our love we are able to reach other people for Christ.  So, how are you reaching people for Christ?  Is it working?  Are lives really being changed?  Nothing but the absolute love of Jesus manifested in and through His people will save a soul!

Romans 5:8 says the following…”But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  God showed His love first by a great sacrifice, and we have come to Him because of that sacrifice.  The easiest way to lead someone to the Lord is to make a great sacrifice for them, then to lead them to the One who payed the greatest sacrifice!

Then, and only then, will people receive “Life through Love”!
