Creativity is an expression of God’s character.

The first attribute shown in the Bible is creativity. Genesis 1:1…”In the beginning, God created…”

There it is.

No doubts.

It is right there for everyone to see.

Yet, so many of us don’t use it.

Some say they don’t have it. REALLY? If we were formed in God’s image, then don’t all of us have the capacity to create?

We’ve been lied to. We’ve been taught to follow the system. To do what everyone tells us to do.

Here is how to start a business…

Here is how to get an education…

Here is how to…

The processes and systems are all laid out for us. We are told that if we simply follow the system everything will turn out good.

And in the process we end up looking and acting less like God, because we have ignored and placed aside the creative genius that exists inside of us.

What to do?

Unleash the Creative.

Could that become our new motto? I find that when I see those who are different than I am, I see more of God.

You’ve got a song inside of you. Or a book. Or an invention. Or an idea. Or a perspective.

Do not deny the world the expression of God’s creativity that He has placed inside of you. You will be doing all of us a disservice, for when I see you as God made you, I get a clearer picture of who God is.

Let’s create!

Just imagine Hillsong United’s member never stepped up to write songs? Or Max Lucado or CS Lewis never took their pens to write a book? The world would be missing out on what God had to offer it thru them. Thanks Jeff for always encouraging me to be creative. Awesome piece. Keep at it!
