My Thoughts on Lance Armstrong

22 Jan

There are a whole lot of opinions surrounding Lance Armstrong’s confession.

Some people believe he confessed for the wrong reasons.

Some people believe he hasn’t told the whole truth.

People do things for different reasons.

Even if Armstrong confessed because of some type of benefit he might receive from it, the truth is…he confessed!

And, that’s a start!

He will suffer many consequences as a result of this, regardless of any benefits he may receive for having confessed right now.

So, to those who would like justice to be served, it will be. He will lose position, titles, trust, possibly money, and respect.

What’s our job?

Grace. Simply grace.

Honesty is the first step towards restoration and reconciliation.

Even if we don’t know everything yet, Armstrong has taken a first step. And, that’s a good thing.

Let’s at least give him that.
