The CityLife Weekly

Wow! Wow! Wow!

This last Sunday was awesome. It was an amazing Sunday.

I am so thankful for all the moms who continually give of themselves to love others, sacrificing so much to give their kids (and others)!

So, here’s what’s up with CityLife right now!

1. Thanks to all the Mother’s Day volunteers. So many of you served for the first time this last weekend to be a blessing to all the moms. I am SO PROUD of all of you. Others of you planned things in such a way that it made Mother’s Day special. Others of you stepped into leadership roles to make stuff happen. THANK YOU!

2. How are you living a life of honor? On Sunday I spoke about the idea that honor comes first.. How have you been doing with this? Honor communicates that we value people, regardless of whether they have accomplished much or not. Honor has the ability to lift people up. Let’s continue to live lives of honoring those around us.

3. “Entourage” begins this Sunday.. In this series, we dive into relationships and everything that has to do with them. My goal is to lead us into healthy relationships with those around us. Relationships are the joy of life. If you have any questions that you want answered in this series, let me know in the comments section!

4. I’m excited! New people are coming. People are giving their lives to Jesus. There is an excitement in the air. I am proud to be the pastor of CityLife. Let’s keep on reaching our city!

Much love!

Pastor Jeff

To the Veterans and the Rest of Us

Veterans:

Thank you for your courage, honor and sacrifice. Thank you for risking and giving your lives to allow us to live in freedom.  We are indebted to you.

To the rest of us:

May we use this freedom to take risks and make this world a better place. If the veterans risked their lives, the rest of us can risk everything else in order to make our freedoms worth living.

Happy Veteran’s Day.
